Eurest’s Women in Culinary participants came together to show their strengths, learn from industry leaders, and exchange valuable insights. Through hands-on experiences, they fostered collaboration, sparked creativity and, most importantly, built lifelong bonds.
“Being part of Women in Culinary feels like joining a big, supportive family where everyone shares a passion for food and creativity,” says Eurest Sous Chef Tanisha Wynder. “It’s about connecting with other women who understand the unique challenges and triumphs in the culinary world.”
To date, nearly 100 female culinarians have participated in Women in Culinary, and the annual event has become a cornerstone for fostering growth and innovation.
“There’s a sense of empowerment that comes from uplifting one another, whether it’s through mentorship, collaboration or simply cheering each other on,” shares Chef Tanisha. “It’s not just about cooking; it’s about building a community where women can thrive, inspire and make their mark in the culinary arts.”
Other guests leading sessions included Eurest and Compass Group Chief Culinary Officer Chris Ivens-Brown, Eurest Western Division President Ed Mugnani and partners and innovators across Compass Group.
“It’s a great honor and inspiration to me as a Chef to be able to get to know this talented group of female chefs that are undoubtedly future leaders in our company,” said Chief Culinary Officer Chris Ivens-Brown. “The incoming generation of culinarians is bringing fresh ideas, driving innovation and expanding representation of women in professional kitchens.”

“The showcase allowed me to see the commitment Compass has invested in their employee’s development, in particularly women in leadership roles,” said Eurest Executive Chef Shanique Lewin.
Women in Culinary culminates with a ‘Showcase’ where chefs demonstrate their culinary creativity and team up to create exceptional five-star dining experiences.
“I have to say everyone came out and showed up for the Showcase—I went back for seconds!” shared Eurest Executive Chef Amanda Standfield. “Being a part of Women in Culinary is amazing and this is only the beginning. Going gave me a boost in confidence when I say, ‘I am a Chef.’”
