Melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pot of boiling water. Remove the bowl from the heat. Be careful, the bowl will be hot.
In a food processor or blender, combine the garbanzo beans, melted chocolate, cocoa powder, milk, salt, and vanilla, and blend until smooth and everything is thoroughly mixed. Serve cold.
