Remembering D-Day: A Historic Evening for Our Nation’s Heroes
History was made 80 years ago on the beaches of Normandy. Our team had the honor of being part of a historic event at the American Airlines headquarters commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
Prior to boarding an American Airlines flight to Paris to attend D-Day ceremonies in Normandy, our team of nearly 40 people, alongside Chef Robert Irvine of the Robert Irvine Foundation, hosted a formal kickoff dinner for nearly 70 esteemed World War II veterans.
American Airlines, the 2023 Eurest Marketplace of the Year, set the stage with a backdrop of a 1940s-era big band and the Victory Belles from the National World War II Museum, we celebrated these heroes and families. Chef Irvine developed a special menu featuring Provencale Short Rib Daube and Lump Crab Cake along with his famous Granny Smith Apple Cider Pie.
“This will undoubtedly be one of the standout moments of my career and something I am personally honored to have been a part of,” said Eurest Catering Manager Brandon Michael Clark. “We value our relationship with American and share their commitment to supporting veterans.”
