Acts of Service, Moments of Impact

Eurest team members know that when we come together, we can make a big impact, whether it’s creating welcoming workplace experiences that feel like home or giving back to the communities we proudly call home.

April marked Compass Group USA’s Inclusion & Impact Month, a time to live our values through volunteer service. Across the country, Eurest team members stepped up in meaningful ways, stocking food pantries, preparing meals for families, building beds for children, creating heartfelt cards for pediatric patients and walking in support of inclusion.

In Harlem, Eurest joined Compass Group colleagues from Flik Hospitality, Restaurant Associates and ESFM to prepare meals for 75 people through the New York Common Pantry.

“Everyone left there feeling like we made a difference – or better yet, that we made an impact,” said Dr. Derren Thompson, senior director of inclusion for Eurest’s National Accounts division.

That same spirit of service powered the Lowe’s Bed Build Event, where Eurest team members worked alongside clients to construct 1,085 beds, providing comfort and security to children in need.

Other teams addressed food insecurity by filling pantry shelves and preparing fresh meals for families with children in the hospital, reminding us that nourishment is both physical and emotional.

In another powerful show of unity, more than 200 Eurest and ESFM team members across 17 cities participated in Best Buddies Friendship Walks. As a national partner, Eurest and ESFM help create inclusive workplaces by offering meaningful job opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), who often face social, physical and economic barriers.

“Supporting and participating in Best Buddies has been a rewarding experience for our company,” said Natasha Tissiman, Eurest assistant manager, who walked in San Diego. “It aligned perfectly with our values of inclusion and community engagement. The event inspired our team, boosted morale and reminded us of the power of friendship and acceptance.”
