Eurest Chef Ryan Pomeroy Named Winner of 2025 Produce Excellence in Foodservice Award
Eurest Regional Executive Chef Ryan Pomeroy leads culinary programming for a leading multinational pharmaceutical company, where he oversees a nationwide team of chefs serving more than 10,000 guests daily. His menus showcase unforgettable flavors by putting fresh produce at the center of the plate, celebrating seasonality, fostering a sense of community and inspiring guests to explore new foods.
Chef Ryan’s approach to menu development brings produce to life in ways that are elegant yet approachable. Signature dishes like his pan-seared cauliflower steak with green bean purée and vibrant chimichurri highlight his passion for letting seasonal ingredients shine. His commitment to plant-forward dining is rooted in personal experience—having grown and preserved green beans as a child, he developed a deep respect for fresh, local produce that continues to inspire his culinary philosophy today.
That commitment has earned Chef Ryan national recognition as the Business & Industry winner of the 2025 Produce Excellence in Foodservice Awards, presented by the International Fresh Produce Association. The annual awards honor culinary professionals who set the standard for excellence in the use of fruits and vegetables on menus.
Winners are selected by a panel of industry experts based on menu creativity, produce-handling protocols, community outreach, and peer recognition. Chef Ryan’s work stood out for its innovation, impact and deep alignment with Eurest’s broader well-being and sustainability priorities that include better nutrition choices, sourcing sustainably, lessening carbon emissions and reducing waste.
Chef Ryan will be recognized at IFPA’s Foodservice Conference in Monterey, California, July 31, alongside winners from additional categories, including Healthcare, K-12, Colleges and Universities and Fine Dining.
