Compass Group has earned L’Oréal North America’s 2023 “Most Advanced Vendor in Decarbonization” award, underscoring the company’s leadership in sustainability and dedication to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

This recognition highlights Compass’s commitment to innovative sustainable practices and its top score among L’Oréal North America’s partners in CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project), a global non-profit promoting environmental transparency.

“We’re thrilled to recognize Compass as L’Oréal’s Most Advanced Supplier in Decarbonization in North America,” Head of Indirect Sourcing for L’Oréal North America, Catherine McComber, said. “Their significant contributions and commitments – including their approach to achieving net-zero emissions, with ambitious Scope 1, 2, and 3 reduction targets, demonstrate a true leadership position in sustainable practices.”

Eurest is part of the Compass One team serving L’Oréal. Compass One provides foodservice, facility management services and vending services.

Contributing to Compass Group’s sustainability targets, Eurest has focused on creating plant-forward menus and leveraging sustainable ingredients, reducing food waste through advanced culinary practices during meal periods and catered meetings and events, and implementing reusable containers in service.

“This is a critical juncture in our progress — we have tremendous opportunity through our partnership to lead the industry and make a difference,” said Eurest Vice President of Wellness & Sustainability Suzanne Landry.

The partners are focused on strategic initiatives to ensure a sustainable future.
