That’s a Wrap, 2024
There is much to reflect on as 2024 comes to a close: the milestones we reached, the moments that defined our spirit and the memories that we hold close as we embark on a year ahead. Join us in this journey, counting down some of Eurest’s defining moments of 2024.
8. Expanded our Uniform Program
We updated our uniform program with inclusivity and increased U.S. manufacturing at the forefront, in collaboration with our long-standing, woman-owned business partner Newchef.
7. Career Transition for Veterans
Supporting our nation’s veterans through the U.S. Department of Defense’s SkillBridge program is an exciting partnership we are thrilled to build on in the coming year. In 2024, we welcomed six veterans into new fellowship opportunities with our chefs and managers as they transition from active military service.
6. Chef on the Board
From the kitchens of London to the U.S. Board Room, Chief Culinary Officer Chris Ivens-Brown became the first Chef appointed to the Compass North American Officer Board. As a first in this rotating position, Chef will give a voice at the highest level to more than 50,000 culinarians.
5. Launching New Culinary Creations, Reimagining Popular Favorites
It was a year of new culinary concepts and menu updates, and near and dear to our heart is Dhaba, a new Indian concept replacing one of our most tenured menus.
4. A Year celebrating our Food with Purpose Change Makers
We honored more than a dozen associates in 2024 with the prestigious recognition of Food with Purpose Change Maker. These individuals embody the values of our wellness and sustainability platform, Food with Purpose, and have that something extra, pursuing initiatives and solutions to support our goals of doing good for people and planet.
3. Largest Graduating Class of Eurest’s Frontline Development Program
Through the Global University of Lifelong Learning program, Eurest provides hourly associates pathways to growth and career progression. In 2024, we had the highest graduating class in program history, congratulating 152 graduates.
2. Hosted first Supplier Diversity Summit
We are better together. Eurest and ESFM hosted their first Supplier Diversity Summit to bring minority- and women-owned business partners and Compass Group leaders together to navigate challenges, workshop solutions and showcase the best and brightest of foodservice and facility services product innovation.
1. Supported our Communities with Eurest Cares
As a national foodservice provider, Eurest is committed to investing our time and resources into our local communities through Eurest Cares. When tragedy struck close to home as Hurricane Helene ravaged Western North Carolina in September, our teams sprung into action to provide emergency feeding and support our team members, clients and communities impacted.
